Born in Antwerp, Belgium, Rebecca Blake came to the United States at a young age, and her European roots are evident in her work and aesthetics. She combines her love of all things modern: architecture, fashion, futurist technology – with her rich knowledge and appreciation of history and classical traditions; melding these diverse interests and influences into a unique and highly visualist style that goes beyond time and place.

Her work is in the permanent collections of the International Center of Photography and The Brooklyn Museum. She has won numerous awards for her Film/Video work as well, with videos for musical artists such as Prince.
